What galvanises me
I borrowed this meme from The Trundling Grunt, and since I don't do memes too often I also borrowed his answers.
So what galvanises me?
1) The world. Specifically, the world of things with which I interact. My stuff. If "stuff" isn't a good reason to be galvanised, I don't know what is.
2) Travel. I love to get away, find new stuff to see, taste, experience. I could technically do that at home, but there's no ocean.
3) Food. Stuff tastes good. Especially chocolate and coffee stuff (even if it is "discontinued"). I'm not addicted, though, just got to have the stuff. Everyday. Sometimes in place of a meal.
4) Reading. Well, Internet reading anyway. I have too much stuff, and most of it's books. I buy books and don't read them, just put them away on the shelf. I buy books knowing I'll never read them; just got to have stuff.
5) Music. Leonard Cohen, at the moment. Sultry at times, silly at times, sad at times ...put to a tune, always.
6) Sex Cats. Okay, I'm sure he meant to put "cats" in here, so I'll just make that correction. My room-mates for the last (oh God) 22 years of my life, so you can well imagine that I am finely tuned to respond to kitty needs. Yesterday my (male) cat made a babyish mew that sounded for all the world like my old departed (female) cat, and I responded. They have me well trained.

Instead of an "I could'a said that" feeling, I get more of a "I wish I'd said that" feeling from Neil's writings.
